Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Geostalgia website and the purchase of digital products offered through it (the "Service"), operated by Geostalgia ("Geostalgia," "we," "us"). By using the Service or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What we provide

Geostalgia lets you design personalized, vintage-style map art of places you choose and purchase it as an instant digital download. Products are delivered electronically as high-resolution files (for example, PDF and PNG). We do not ship physical goods unless expressly stated.

2. Orders and payment

Prices are shown on the site and are charged in U.S. dollars unless otherwise noted. Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider (Stripe); we do not store your full payment card details. By placing an order you authorize us and our payment provider to charge your selected payment method for the total shown at checkout, including any applicable taxes.

3. Digital delivery

After successful payment, your file is generated and sent to the email address associated with your order, typically within a few minutes. Download links may expire after a limited period (for example, seven days). It is your responsibility to provide a valid email address and to download and save your file. If you do not receive your file, contact us and we will help resolve it.

4. Reprint guarantee

Because our products are custom-made to order, all sales are final and custom printing is not returnable. We stand behind our work with a limited reprint guarantee: only if there is an error on our part — such as a defect or a mistake that prevents the item from being correct — you may contact us within 3 days after delivery and we will reprint or re-send your item at no additional charge. Reprints are not available for change of mind, or for a design you approved at checkout. By approving your design at checkout, you confirm the artwork is correct and as you want it.

5. License to your purchase

Your rights to use the files you purchase are described in our Licensing page, which forms part of these Terms.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to create content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you do not have the right to create, and not to interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems. We may refuse or cancel orders that violate these Terms.

7. Intellectual property

The Geostalgia name, branding, website, and software are owned by us and protected by applicable laws. Map imagery is derived from third-party data providers and is subject to their terms and attribution requirements (see Licensing). We grant you only the rights expressly described in these Terms and the Licensing page.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that maps are free of inaccuracies or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Map data may not reflect real-world changes and should not be relied upon for navigation or any safety-critical purpose.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Geostalgia will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to a purchase will not exceed the amount you paid for that purchase.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [STATE / COUNTRY], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be subject to the courts located there, unless applicable law provides otherwise.

Geostalgia provides general information and digital products, not legal advice. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
