Licensing

Effective date: July 15, 2026

When you buy a map from Geostalgia, you receive a license to use the file you create. This page explains what that license includes. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

Your license (Single Print & Keepsake Bundle)

Your purchase grants you a personal, non-exclusive, worldwide license to use the files you buy for personal and gift purposes. You may:

What isn't included

Unless you hold an active commercial license (see below), you may not:

Commercial use (Studio Pass)

The Studio Pass is intended for gifters and small sellers who want to create many maps. An active Studio Pass grants you a limited commercial license to sell printed products made from maps you create during your subscription term, provided you do not resell or redistribute the raw digital files themselves, and you comply with the map-data attribution requirements below. This license ends if your subscription lapses; maps you already sold remain licensed.

Map data & attribution

Our maps are created using data from OpenStreetMap and rendering by MapTiler. This data is provided under the terms of its respective licenses, and the copyright of the underlying map data remains with those providers. Printed maps include an attribution line (for example, "© MapTiler © OpenStreetMap"). You agree not to remove or obscure this attribution.

Our rights

The Geostalgia name, logo, templates, typography, and software remain our property. Your license covers the specific files you purchase and does not transfer ownership of these underlying materials.
